Reliability, flexibility, and security are hallmarks of the H520E Commercial Hexacopter from YUNEEC, making it an ideal UAV solution for commercial and public service applications. The drone itself features six rotors, an ultrasonic obstacle avoidance system, fail-safe battery, and return-to-home functions to increase the chances of a successful mission. The robust construction can withstand winds up to 45 mph, and even if a rotor fails, the H520E can remain in the air. The missions you can perform can cover site mapping, inspection, search and rescue, and more.
An array of compatible payloads (no payload included) are available to match your specific needs. Choose from thermal imaging that can see through smoke to help in rescue efforts, zoom cameras for conducting inspections at a safe distance, or as a still/video solution for mapping and aerial imaging. The included ST16E remote controller with YUNEEC DataPilot software is at the heart of making the drone and payload come to life. Plan waypoint flights offline to load into the remote, create maps and 3D scans, view live footage, and more.
Secure Closed System
Since the applications of the H520E are meant to record sensitive personal information, industry secrets, and evidence in ongoing investigations; it’s essential that this information is kept secure. This is why YUNEEC engineered a closed system, where any recorded information is only shared between the drone, payload, and controller. Nothing is sent to YUNEEC or other 3rd-party servers during flight, and all log files of flown missions are only stored within the drone itself.
ST16E Remote Controller
Powered by an Intel quad-core processor with OFDM support and an Android-based operating system, the ST16E allows for piloting miles away from the action. Thanks to live image reception from up to 1.2 miles away (up to 3.8 with OFDM) on its built-in 7″ touchscreen, it will still feel as if you’re there. As you fly, real-time telemetry is displayed, such as altitude, speed, distance from home, GPS position, and battery status. It also offers automatic and manual imaging control of video resolution, white balance, white light exposure, ISO, and shutter speed.
YUNEEC DataPilot
At the heart of every mission is YUNEEC’s DataPilot software. It’s installed into the ST16E remote and is also PC/Mac compatible. You can use it to plan waypoint and survey missions, create orthomaps, 3D scans, and crop data imagery in the field or pre-flight on a desktop. Additional features include creating construction site measurements, BIM components, accident reconstruction, and photo stitches.
With user-defined frontlap/sidelap, pilots can auto-generate survey paths and cross-hatching for 3D and large-format image output. If you’re in an area with no connectivity, created and premade maps with waypoints can be stored/cached for access in the field. When missions need to be repeated, such as with inspections, flights can be stored for later recall. Missions made with DataPilot can be transferred to the ST16E via email, thumb drive, or microSD card.
