I was initially a bit hesitant to add the new Sonos PORT to my Sony TV 5.1 Home Theatre System as I was not sure I would use it that often as I already have two Sonos Play:5’s in the same room, but WOW what a difference it has made because the HT system has a Sub and that has added lots of ‘ooomph’ to the music being played across all speakers. Now I use it all time. I love it. My Sony HT system also has a lip-sync function and that means I can slightly delay the TV audio output to the HT speakers, so I am now able to play my regular TV channel audio in perfect sync with the TV ‘line’ audio connected to the Port and the whole room fills with TV audio… it’s brilliant and the delay is so minimal it appears to sync perfectly with the video on the TV screen. So I’m really pleased. The overall sound is just fantastic coupled with my Sony system and the PORT is one of my best audio products acquired in recent years.

Just listen to my Port for the first time yesterday. I replaced a couple of connects with ports and there is definitely a difference in the sound. There is more and deeper base and sound is cleaner in the highs and midrange. Women’s vocal finally sound good all the time!

Easy setup. Just took me a couple of minutes to realize that the port is also called a ‘speaker’ in the setup procedure. One remark : coax cable connector has to be slim to fit, as connector on the port is ‘sunk’ in casing. Sonos app is a breeze to use. Works flawlessly with my NAS and Spotify. No Wishlist here… except maybe a dark theme for the app.

This is the digital tuning component for my master AV system. I love this product and Sonos’ speakers as it enables me to easily play the same or different music throughout my house as well as outside with the Move speakers as if it were a traditional wired system. Installation and setup is a breeze and it works with all of my music services and sources. Bravo!

Connect replacement. I upgraded the power supply and feed it through a DAC. I also have it Ethernet wired to my router. That combination and its an amazing source component in my Hifi system. Detailed and great quality network streamer sound.

I setup the port to a receiver that runs in ceiling g speakers. I have multiple Sonos speakers throughout my house and yard and I like that the same song is playing as I walk from room to room or even I to my backyard. My only complaint is the app. From time to time the app will freeze up and not allow me to play the album or station that I want. I usually re-boot my phone and wait for it to reconnect, sometimes this works, other times it doesn’t. Maybe I have too many zone/speakers? Not sure. I hope this issue gets fixed with the next update.

Bought the Port to replace our unreliable Apple AirPort Express. The Port was ridiculously easy to set up – Apply power, connect the output to the AUX port on the tuner, and BAM! Music! News! – all without the aggravating dropouts! Yay!

I have been a satisfied user of the Sonos System since around 2009, and having now ceased the opportunity to Trade Up my existing Sonos Components, I am more than happy with the New Replacements. I have always been impressed by the outstanding support that Sonos delivers, and extremely happy with the build quality of all their products. An all round excellent system for the digital age.

I upgraded to the new Port as I still have the need to connect wired home theater components and outdoor speakers. I love the new features and look forward to adding more components. This was the easiest and fastest setup time.

We have a fairly large home, with multiple rooms/living areas, and generational family with a variety of genre preferences. We installed two ceiling speakers in 4 areas of our home, then installed 4 Sonos Ports to control each “zone” (to accommodate up to 4 different genres, songs, individual volumes, etc.). It’s awesome. We enjoy it so much that we tend to just have the entire home playing the same channel. Probably could’ve saved money and only purchased 2 Ports, but the Ports are cheap and we have total flexibility for those times where we want more detailed control. Overall experience is awesome!

Use it to stream Amazon Music from my PC in my office to my living area amplifier and speakers. Works great, great sound, reliable, no “Bluetooth dropouts”. Was not easy to set up, Geek squad guy took an hour to get everything working….but no trouble since.

My husband still likes to play round shiny things rather than download music and we already have a large collection of CDs collected over the years. On the demise of our HiFi system I thought we would not be able to use the player but a quick phone call to Sonos, a picture of the player’s handbook and I was advised to buy a Port to connect to my Sonos system. Result! Happy husband although, as a Luddite, he can’t get to grips with the App controller.

Like the Beam, I had to use a wired connection to the router in order for the setup process to work. Unlike the Beam, I still need to use a connection to the router in order for the system to work as a whole. This forced me to wire the port to my recording studio in a less-than-optimal configuration. Other than that, this system is great. Will add an Arc and Sub to the family when the Arc finally ships.

I use Sonos for my wine bar streaming Pandora or YouTube Music. I have been using Sonos since we opened in 2013. I love how easy it has been to add speakers and how expandable it is. I recently upgraded from S1 to S2 and replaced my Bridge with a Boost. I followed the application instructions to set it up but not sure where I went wrong. The Boost doesn’t work and right now I have a speaker wired into my router over Ethernet. I do have many many nodes with my business wirelessly communicating with my router so I liked the idea of the Boost providing a dedicated Wifi network. I’ve watched many YouTube videos trying to figure out where I went wrong and I just saw one where it said to make sure you set up the Boost using the S2 before you unplug the Bridge. I will set aside the time to reinstall the Bridge and start over trying to install the Boost. Not certain that will fix it but I don’t recall seeing that information in your installation procedure.

This is a must for anyone who has invested in wired sound systems. This device allows for the connection of the wired systems to the Sonos network so that streaming music from Sonos can be shared. With the addition of RCA splitters (and RCA cables), the Port can connect to multiple sound systems (I have 3 legacy wired sound systems) to achieve a whole house experience.

I recently upgraded from Connect to Port. With the Connect, Wi-Fi connectivity was unreliable. I have been using two Ports for about a month, and have found that the connectivity is much more reliable.

This replaced a Sonos Connect that expired and I have it linked to a Bang and Olufsen A8 speaker which has amazing sound but unreliable streaming capabilities of its own and could not otherwise be grouped with other Sonos products I have.

Works well with my amp and speakers. Sound is nice and rich benefitting from the external amp and speakers. Nice to be able to use the amp output back into the Sonos so I can stream vinyl through the house on my other speakers.

This was really simple to use and allowed me to get rid Of the cable across the floor that used to connect my turntable to the Sonos Amp.

I would highly recommend the port as I was able to stream my music from it onto excellent speakers that I own Through an audio file receiver very impressed with that. The move too I don’t get it keeps not appearing, which is frustrating. Also the way that Sonos interacts with Apple Music is frustrating. You want to try and find a song you have to go to the album first, and you have to know which album to go to. The whole point of Apple Music is you find me this song. It works fine, not going through the Sonos app.
