Revolution Preamp & APHEX-Powered DSP
- The Rode NT-USB+ is a revised version of the original NT-USB mic, upgraded with a built-in Revolution preamp and a DSP chip for vocal processing.
- The high-gain, low-noise Revolution preamp provides 20 dB of gain to ensure a robust signal level for the 24-bit / 48 kHz analog to digital converter.
- A built-in DSP chip allows the mic to process your vocals internally without taxing your computer’s processor and incurring latency.
- Apply advanced APHEX audio processing via Rode’s free podcasting and streaming software, Rode Connect. This includes a high-pass filter for cutting out low-end rumble, a noise gate for eliminating background noise, a compressor for delivering punchy and balanced sound, and the legendary Aural Exciter and Big Bottom effects for rich, broadcast voice tone.
Easy-to-Use, Performance-Ready Features
- Podcasters will appreciate the cardioid polar pattern, which naturally reduces room noise by rejecting much of the audio to the back and rear of the mic capsule.
- The included pop filter attaches to the microphone and minimizes p-pops and plosives.
- A 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control is provided for latency-free monitoring, and musicians will appreciate the Mix Control dial, as it allows them to balance the level between their vocals and pre-recorded instruments.

Fantastic sound, yet so simple!
I was searching for a simple mic for my on-line guitar lessons. I was hesitant to try another usb mic as another popular brand purchase was a dud. However, this Rode mic is the ticket. Wow – this mic produces fantastic sound for both voice and music! It really enhances the on-line lesson experience and my teacher says it’s like I’m in the same room. This is a simple to use, yet extremely powerful microphone that is well worth the price point. If you are taking lessons on line, this mic will really enhance the lesson experience with your teacher.

The last mic you will need
I was excited to try out this mic. I have to say I have owned an on camera rode, a shotgun mic from rode, and this one was my latest addition. What a nice mic to use. Plug and Play, levels are great right out of the box. Voices render really well and you truly just need minimal tweaking in post. Great product I used it mostly for voice overs and couldn’t be happier.

Great High Quality Mic
Extremely easy to set up, plug and play. Produces a MUCH better quality sound than my on-board mic on my MacBook Pro or mirrorless Fujifilm X-T20 (obviously). I’m pleased with the presence it gives my voice in scratch VO recordings and in online meetings.
