Create your next musical masterpiece with this 25th Anniversary Edition silver Elektron Digitakt, a compact drum machine that includes a commemorative box, limited-edition poster, and brushed silver cassette mix tape (by the Elektron team). The Digitakt breaks creative boundaries wide open and sets the stage for a striking encounter. It can capture and manipulate fragments of time with its dynamic feature set and exquisite sound engine. With the latest OS update, the Digitakt has added four different machines, which add a variety of ways to playback samples.
The live-performance-friendly sequencer not only works with the onboard sounds, but provides a means to control outboard MIDI equipment. Like all other performance machines by Elektron, the Digitakt offers parameter locks, which allow any sound-shaping function to be sequenced to any point on the sequencer; this results in powerful effects that are accurately timed. What’s more, any parameters that have been adjusted can be undone at the press of a button. A Song mode lets you create, edit, and play compositions made from dozens of patterns. Full Overbridge support allows for full integration with DAW environments, including a dedicated VST/AU plug-in interface.

- With a multitude of sound-sculpting features, this is a box you should open at your own risk. Using the hi-res encoders, you can easily begin sample crafting. Using the versatile multimode and base-width filters, break the sonic ice with overdrive and various send effects, and wield two LFOs for twice the modulation.
- In addition to using eight sample tracks, you can MIDI-control and sequence up to eight external instruments too. Or, stereo process an external audio source and bolster it with some lush reverb and delay.
- Digitakt has Song Mode at its disposal, a feature that lets you create, edit, and play compositions made up of dozens of your patterns. It’s a hugely useful feature for all kinds of scenarios and for all kinds of artists.
- Want to have a deeply customizable backing track, leaving your hands free for other sweet gear? That’s entirely possible. Extend beyond the limits of the 64-step sequencer; create entire setlists in a single song, and so much more.
- The full-featured step sequencer lets you control both structure and sound. Press a step and tweak any parameter onto it for ultrafast and detailed sequencing. Real-time record every twist and turn you make if you like, or build your composition one tonal nuance at a time. Add some controlled randomness and logic with variety-inspiring trig conditions.
- The amount of musical content you can fit into each of the 64 microtimed steps per track is astonishing. You can choose the transport speed and number of steps per track, for some proper polymetric power. The sequencer is like a canvas. Expressively splash those colors all over it, or methodically and accurately place each fine-tuned stroke and add embellishments later.
- Overbridge comes with the Digitakt, offering powerful tools and deep control when connecting compatible Elektron instruments to computers. And with Overbridge 2, the integration of both analog and digital instruments with DAWs is more effective than ever before.
Overbridge makes life easier for musicians:
- When the beauty of hardware meets the advantages of software, your creativity takes center stage. Experience music-making made more fluid.
To DAW or not to DAW:
- Dedicated VST and AU plug-ins connect devices as if they were software instruments, while the standalone plug-ins have built-in multitracking capabilities.
Flex some sonic muscle:
- Stream multichannel audio directly through the plug-ins. Or, use your Overbridge machine as a high-quality sound card.
Stream by stream:
- Affect digital computer audio with analog hardware processing. Or, process individual track streams from a device inside your DAW.
