The Bellari VP549 from Rolls is a phono preamp with RIAA equalization curve. A recording is made with the low frequencies reduced and the high frequencies boosted, and on playback the opposite occurs. The VP549 phono preamp can be used with a turntable to deliver a flat frequency response during playback of records and tackles low-frequency noise, cartridge load capacitance, and attenuation of the signal level.
This phono preamp makes listening to your vinyl collection more rewarding. Equipped with RCA inputs that connect to your turntable and RCA outputs that connects to your amplifier, the VP549 is easy to set up and features a ground terminal to tame hum and a 3.5mm stereo headphone/line output jack to monitor audio or connect it to an amplifier. The VP549 is bold, yet has a surprising attack that will take your rig to the next level.

Very interesting, early appreciation sound. This detailed in different resonance is necessary for audible experience.

I upgraded to this from my Art ll pre some weeks Ago. It may be too early for a comprehensive review but at first listen, there was a dramatic difference on a Positive note. It is well balanced and smooth.
Sure, all these preamp phono stages say they follow the RIAA SPECS. From what I can hear (and this is the 4th Phono Stage; this has been the best for its price range. Running a AT VM95 ML MicroLine nude, I have control but have stayed at zero.
I won’t be changing this Bellari for a long time.

After searching high and low for a high-quality, but affordable preamp, I picked up this Bellari, and really enjoy it! The sound is crystal clear and replicates what I imagine the original recordings to be. It also works seamlessly with my Pioneer direct-drive PL-5 turntable and NAD C325BEE integrated amp. My only minor critique is that it does not have a power switch. However, I resolved that simply with a switched power strip.

This US made phono preamp is built like a tank and has performance to match.

Wanted to improve the sound for my vinyl LP collection by going to a separate phono pre-amp instead of using the built in amp in the AVR. I chose the Bellari because of its adjustability. The Bellari is hooked up to a Audio Technica AT-LP120 turntable using a red micro linear stylus. Great sound. Recommended.
