Designed to fill three vital roles in one compact form factor, the DHA V226 from Violectric is a versatile D/A converter with a high-quality preamplifier and an audiophile balanced, stereo headphone amplifier. With support for 16- to 600-ohm headphones, this unit can drive the most demanding headphones, such as planars and low-impedance dynamics, while the Cirrus CS43131 DAC chip provides 32-bit digital-to-analog conversion, with support for up to 384 kHz PCM sampling rates and DSD256 decoding.
The V226 sports efficient I/O including unbalanced RCA input and output, multiple headphone outs including 1/4″, 4.4mm Pentaconn, and a true balanced XLR 4-pin out, as well as a USB-C digital input for DAC functions. With versatile, quality features like pre- and post-fader selection, pre-gain DIP switches, and a standard Alps RK 27 volume pot, it has never been simpler to control your signals.
