The Panasonic AG-CX350 4K Camcorder is designed for what Panasonic is calling the fusion of communication and broadcasting. A compact professional UHD 4K camcorder packed with features that you would expect to find in a full-sized camcorder. The AG-CX350 features a 1″ MOS sensor recording in UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), in the MOV format using a variety of data rates including 400 Mb/s, as well as in HEVC at up to 200 Mb/s. The camcorder can also record HD in MOV, in P2 codecs such as AVC LongG and AVC Intra for ENG production, and HD/SD in AVCHD format for legacy productions. You can choose from eight different gamma settings including HLG, which provides an HDR output in the camera. It also features variable frame rate capability from 1 to 60 fps in UHD and 1 to 120 fps in HD. Two SD card slots allow for simultaneous, relay, and background recording.
Integrated into the camera is a 20x optical zoom lens with 32x intelligent zoom. The lens features 5-axis image stabilization and three discrete lens control rings, one each for focus, iris, and zoom. The camcorder supports LANC control via a 2.5mm input port. It features an OLED EVF and a 3.2″ LCD touchscreen monitor, and it has a built-in stereo microphone and two XLR audio connectors. Other connectors include both 3G-SDI and HDMI out (HDMI supports UHD), timecode in/out as well as USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and an Ethernet port for connecting to a network or wired streaming. An optional USB wireless adapter allows you to stream wirelessly.
Camera features:
- New VLog recording function (V3 upgrade) provides the ability to capture the CX350s 13 stops of dynamic range, as well as more easily color grade content, especially for shared projects with the Panasonic EVA1 and/or S1H cinema cameras.
- Eight user-selectable gamma modes—HD, SD, Filmlike 1, Filmlike 2, Filmlike 3, Film-Rec, Video-Rec, and HLG for HDR recording.
- You can choose to output HDR over the 3G-SDI or HDMI output either individually or simultaneously.
- Provides a 16-axis color control of your image with three skin-tone control so you can isolate and adjust your colors precisely and protect your skin tones.
The 20x optical zoom lens has a 35mm focal length equivalent to 24.5 to 490mm. 24.5 is an extremely wide angle for a UHD camcorder. It features 5-Axis Hybrid Image Stabilization in both 4K and HD, which can be useful when hand-holding the camcorder. The lens also features individual lens control rings for zoom, focus, and iris. This enables manual control of your lens (in addition to servo), similar to the control you get on full-sized shoulder-mounted cameras.
Additional features of the lens include:
- Intelligent autofocus with subject tracking.
- Custom AF function: The autofocus speed can be set in 7 steps, the sensitivity can be set in 10 steps, and the AF selection area can be adjusted.
- The lens is controllable from third-party wired devices and also from iOS and Android tablets.
The AG-CX350 features SD card slots, providing you with a wide choice of media to choose from, all sold separately.
If you already have P2 cards, the camcorder is compatible with them with a caveat. The CX350 can record onto a microP2 card as an SD card, but please be aware that:
- microP2 card A series 64GB card (AJ-P2M064A), when used as an SD card, is recognized as Speed Class 10.
- microP2 card A series 32GB card (AJ-P2M32A) is recognized as Speed Class 4 for AVCHD only.
- microP2 card B series (AJ-P2M064B) is recognized as Speed Class V90 for all formats.
The dual SD media slots permit you to choose from the following recording schemes:
- Relay recording: As one card fills up, the recording automatically switches to the second card so you don’t have to stop recording.
- Simultaneous recording: Both cards record the same material at the same time.
- Background recording: Starts both cards recording simultaneously, but the run/stop button will pause the recording on one card.
The CX350 has preinstalled support of NDI, which provides:
- Automatic discovery and ease of use
- Built-in support for NDI|HX (requires separately available Vizrt NDI|HX firmware upgrade purchase)
- Ultra-low latency
- Camera control and tally
NOTE: You may need to upgrade your camera to the latest firmware for NDI support to be activated.
The CX ROP app for iOS/Android allows the following:
- Camera recorder information display/control user’s button
- Camera Rec start/stop
- Camera recorder output signal select (camera/color bars)
- Zoom
- Focus
- Knee
- Shutter
- Gain
- White balance
- Master pedestal
- Iris
- Paint (painting gain, painting black)
- Timecode/user’s bit setting
- User SW 1~9

I love everything about this camera! I purchased the HC-X1 several years ago and I’m extremely happy with it so I was curious what the CX350 had to offer and so far I’m very impressed! The new LCD monitor is a nice addition. In fact, the monitor was the only thing I didn’t like about the HC-X1.
I also purchased the Zunow WFK-95 Wide Angle Lens and am very pleased with it.

My first review didn’t post for whatever reason, so, here we go:
I was in the very first wave of orders and received this camcorder about 2 weeks ago. Upon reading the manual, I took the CX-350 out to record some eagles that live near my house. The eagles nest was about 100 yards from where I set up. Manually, is my preferred method of shooting. When recording the eagle/s, I zoomed in, focused, hit the record button and didnt do much more. FYI, I shot at 1080p, (I have to get an upgraded SHDX V30 ll card to shoot 4k) at F5 Cine. The two frame grabs included in this review clearly illustrate the quality of Panasonics focus.
Also, I’ve covered a couple of events with shot gun mic and lav. Featured used were outstanding.
Although, this cams muscle has been barely tapped into, from the little I’ve recorded, I would highly recommend the AG-CX350. Additionally, I too like that I can live stream events and look forward to doing so in up coming jobs.
To me, Panasonic hit the winning home run in this class of cam. I’m very happy with this purchase and as always.

I’ve gone through several camcorders in the last few months. I think this might finally be the right camera for us. The image quality is excellent indoors or out. As a field camera, the colors and resolution match up pretty well with our GH5ss. I still have to use it more to post a proper review. But so far, so good.

I was searching for a 10-bit HDR camcorder with all the bells and whistles that is in my price range and I found it: its this one. It has so many features that I will probably never use but I am steadily learning.
The only con to this camera is that the dual charger and the camera use the same AC adapter cable, so you can only use one at a time, but I plan on buying another cable some time in the future.

I drug my feet entering the realm of 4K with the kind of run and gun work I do. I wanted a fixed lens camera that could deliver UHD at 60p with 10 bit color and no need for an external recorder.
This is it!
This is my first Panasonic but right out of the box it was easy to get acquainted with, coming from another popular professional brand. For a grab and go camera, I found the colors quite accurate and the overall image to be very natural. After making a few adjustments in the color/gamma settings I now have footage I am very pleased with.
I shoot primarily in the new HEVC H.265 codec giving me the required 60P. 200 Mb/sec does not fill up HDDs too quickly yet yields good footage without visible artifacts. I tried a DVX200 a few years earlier and was disappointed with its internal recording which reminded me of a 4K version of HDV footage, although the camera was tack sharp.
The Pros for the AG-CX350:
Great image quality.
Easy to use.
Light weight.
Surprisingly bright in low light with hi sensitivity mode.
10 Bit HDR
Decent zoom range. Love the wide end.
Long battery life. I purchased the biggest battery (Panasonic AG-VBR118G) but its almost overkill. You can shoot all day on it.
Affordably priced! I may have to get two.
If there is one con, I really wish it had a continuously variable ND but it is not a deal breaker for me.
As a professional shooter, I can recommend the AG-CX350 to anyone who has been waiting for a good run and gun fixed lens 4K camera. I think you will be impressed. I sure was! Its no wonder these cameras are selling out so quickly!

I have been in the business for 20 years. It’s been a while since I bought a smaller sensor camcorder (although at 1 this is much nicer than a 1/3 or 1/2 sensor). I initially tried a JVC HM620 and was disappointed in the picture. Then the Canon XF400, which had a nice picture, but I didn’t like the ergonomics. This camera has great ergonomics and a great picture. The 10-bit color is awesome. Highly recommended!

This is my third Panasonic camcorder since 2008. They are true workhorses. The image quality is wonderful. I mainly use this in studio and love the high zoom rate. I am new to SDI cables but now I know why they are better then HDMI. The SDI stays put once connected. Just a note 3G SDI only puts out 1080 NOT 4K. If you want to record to external recorder 4K footage then this is not the camera. Other then that I am excited about the Live feature if I want to push live footage. The controls are very similar to my other Panasonic camcorders so the transition was a breeze.

Has utilized the AG-CX350 4K CAMCORDER for over 3 mths. The camera works better than advertised. Ultra-clear lowlight shooting. Great audio capture. Wide-angle shooting. Smooth slow motion. Superb 10-bit capture for post-production coloring and green screening.

We use this primarily for corporate live streaming, and it’s fantastic. The 1080p feed from SDI output is the best I’ve seen (having used Canon and Sony in the same capacity). This camera has been able to cover nearly any scenario I’ve thrown at it in the last four months with ease. Very happy with it.

I have not been able to use the camera a lot since my purchase, but what little I have used it, I can say that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The video quality of this camera is breathtaking. It will get much more use when I retire in a few months.
On a separate note, I was able to find this camera for less money at two of BHP’s competitors, but chose to purchase from BHP because of their reputation. I would highly suggest you carefully read the business reviews of competitors online before deciding to purchase somewhere else. I read some creepy reviews.
I ordered this camera right before Christmas; it shipped the next day, and was in my hands on the 3rd day.

I predominantly shoot performing arts – low light, fast moving subject. I’m experienced with Canon C200 and was frustrated with it for the constant focus hunting even with 70-200 f/2.8L IS Mk2. I wasn’t sure which camcorder to go and bought the Sony Z150, Z190 and the Panasonic CX350 to do head to head tests. The CX350 handily won in image quality, focus, and wait for it…even noise in low light. Granted all three had noise, the Z190 was the absolute worst. I mean unacceptable and amateurish. Z150 was very acceptable, but the CX350 looked the best. Ended up returning the two Sony’s and got a 2nd CX350…likely a 3rd sometime soon. Used it with the Slingshot for a 2-cam streaming and it worked flawlessly. This is going to be our workhorse for sometime.

We purchased this camera for our online presence during the Covid-19. It is great! We have not yet gone live with it but plan to use it that way in the future. Easy setup and great quality.

Used as a live camera for image magnification rather than recording, I’ll only speak to that capability.
First of all, we did an A/B test with the JVC-GYHC500U and this camera was far superior. No horrible rolling shutter, real colors, better low-light response. It just looked like a real image right out of the box. We are connecting to our video system via SDI and there is very little latency by the time it gets to our projectors. The dynamic range is impressive with details preserved in the shadows. Even when used in High Sensitivity mode for improved low-light response, there is no noticeable noise at +12dB gain, which is how we operate. There is a very slight rolling shutter effect when panning quickly, but we don’t pan quickly so it’s not an issue. All the shooting features you need to be successful are in built-in and fully adjustable. It’s a professionally designed camera. The camera itself is quite light weight, so you don’t need a massive tripod rig, though a good fluid head will be worth the investment. With the iZoom feature on, you get plenty of reach and there is no noticeable signal degradation when zooming past the purely optical range. We are shooting at around 45′ from the stage and we’re able to get decent close-ups. We’re using an external zoom controller and are finding the response smooth and usable. Auto-focus is pretty decent, but it does hunt a little if the subject moves out of your focus area.
If there are any drawbacks, one is screen size. I recommend an external monitor. The 1 sensor at a higher zoom levels means the aperture narrows to 4.5, which makes your depth of field gets quite deep. There isn’t much separation from the background we’re able to achieve in our setup, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible in a different scenario.
Overall, we liked the results enough to outfit our multi-camera setup with this product. Would recommend it.

I use the CX350 to film high school and collegiate sports and film and livestream church services. The camera is amazing, well balanced, easy to use, extremely versatile, videos are clear, crisp, excellent color , autofocus works great for fast sports and has good audio. I opted for ProGrade V90 cards and reader ( super fast). In my opinion and experience the negative reviews are not warranted. I use FCPX for post production. A heads up for post production, copy only the video files from your card to an external drive. Import the entire clip and check leave in place because you can’t set clip ranges on import. You can set the clip ranges in the FCPX browser. A few firmware upgrades would be nice to have, a bit larger and different color histogram to make it easier to see, a change in the card structure so you can import clip ranges and a percent remaining battery life.
For church services I use a Nikon 850, Z6, Canon XF200 and CX350 and have no issues matching color.
I am very happy with my CX350 and recommend that you consider it for your application.

Loving this camera. Plenty of room to grow and it has a really great build quality. There are lots of codec options. The only thing is the cards for the 400 mb/s modes are expensive. I’ve only been recording at 200 mb but it looks great. If you want a video camera with a zoom rocker like the HVX/HPX line this thing is awesome. DSLR isn’t really my style so this thing is great! No more juggling lenses. I just wish they would make a QUALITY FISHEYE for this thing!!!!!!

I’m NOT a professional videographer, but I am a serious geek and tech nerd. I bought this to replace a six-year-old Sony 1 sensor 4k camcorder–something that was a very early version of that resolution and sensor size. I use this for live-streaming or recording community events, school events, etc. I also use it for various real estate projects (which is my actual day job). Key selling points are the exceptionally wide short end of the zoom range, the substantially more light sensitive and low noise image sensor, and the dramatically superior options for codecs, frame rates, and simultaneous internal 4k recording WITH 4k output (something the old Sony lacked the processing power to do). Image quality and noise are dramatically superior under marginal light than the much older Sony.
I shoot with Nikon mirrorless cameras, plus the Sony camcorder. I’m still adapting to the Panasonic user interface, which is both new and more complex due to the huge number of options.
Based on other reviews, I expected auto-focus to be a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency feature, but it’s very useful in practice. Certainly not on par with current-gen Sony, but rarely problematic.
One design flaw is that the flip-out LCD doesn’t quite position horizontally, making it very confusing to mentally adjust to the impression that the whole shot is out of level. The only other minor complaint is that, compared to my Sony experience, where I could have auto-exposure seamlessly adjust gain to maintain exposure across the variable aperture zoom range, the Panasonic appears to leave no choice but to stop down at the wider end of the zoom to have a constant f/4.5 across the range. Otherwise, if the goal is a wide-open aperture, I have to flip the gain switch (which is not a gradual adjustment) to a different setting at wide-angle f/2.8 versus telephoto f/4.5. The good news is that the sensor is sooooo good with less light that my results are still totally fine with a constant stopped down aperture and a little more gain. Images out of the camera are gorgeous.

I love this camera. It’s a big improvement over my AC130. Great light sensitivity, minimal noise, and 4K too. It takes some getting used to, though, because it’s so heavily featured. It could use a stronger ND filter, though. I took it outside for some tests on a sunny day, and the white fence was covered with zebras with the 1/64 internal filter in place. I have a variable ND filter that fits the lens, and using that in concert with the internal filter allowed my to get the shot without blowing out the highs and I could see the textures in the fence. And yes, the gain switch was at minimum. Read the other reviews … everybody praises their CX350!

Definitely a great purchase. We bought these as an upgrade from older Panasonic camcorders. These are a huge improvement and very reasonably priced.

I am Panasonic camera user since 2004 with the DVX 100a and I am totally satisfied with the function of the AG-CX350 4K even though I don’t use the 4K much the pictures still look great.

Excellent overall camcorder. 10-bit color, lens that does almost everything. I love the macro on this thing, shockingly awesome and a huge asset in the field. Macro doesn’t go all the way at every zoom mm but it’s jaw-dropping where it does. Shadows a bit noisy but the interface and LANC are great.
