I bought 6 of these because they came highly reviewed and didn’t need their own independent app to use with Apple Secure Video. They totally live up to the hype.

Setting them up is as simple as using the included hardware to mount them, and plugging them in. Then you scan the QR code and they integrate straight into your Apple home.

On top of that, the picture has been fantastic. We live in a very rainy area, and the images have been good all hours of the day.

The mic is okay quality, but the 1080p video is great, and the wide field of view means we only needed 6 cameras to cover our (quite large and oddly shaped) property.

We purchased this device to use in our pet’s room to allow for checking in on them while the door is kept closed during heat waves to keep the air conditioning contained.

This camera was purchased along with an Eve Weather Station, and both were our first Apple HomeKit devices we have ever had or used. The setup was very simple and straight-forward and “just worked.”

It has been in place for approximately a week now and has been working perfectly fine.

I’ve purchased 3 of these cameras and installed them in various places around the house. They’re working as to how I expect them two. The only two issues that I’ve run into thus far were:

    * One camera went offline and never recovered. I had to power cycle to fix. It’s been running fine since.

    * This may be more Apple related than camera related but the ML algorithms sometimes miss or categorize incorrectly. I’ve gotten animal notifications for shadows on the ground.

For installations with longer cabling needs I’d probably consider doing PoE to a 5V converter.

Otherwise whether day or night these cameras have been great.

As a former Nest customer, I got sick of the storage fees. This camera works perfectly with my Apple iCloud account with no additional fees. Camera image quality is great and alerts etc. are east to set from the Home app. If you have Apple iPhone/iPad/AppleTV or HomePod and an Apple account, save some money on security subscription fees.

Been happy with the 3 of these that we purchased. The image is clear and works nearly flawlessly with Apple Home.

    Downsides?

    1. Cameras go offline and don’t recover fairly frequently. They often require a hard reset. (Firmware 8.2.64)

    2. Microphone isn’t that great. It’s hard to hear people when they’re talking to the camera in an outdoor setting.

Just started using it with Apple HomeKit and currently learning features/settings. So far find quick response and remote viewing much better compared to my previous equipment/setup. Using with iCloud storage saving me money too.
