Amazing gaming performance, was getting around 140 FPS on Warzone 2! Laptop stayed in the 70c range!

This gaming laptop is amazing. Aside from it’s bigger brother with a 4090, this is the top dog. And at this price it’s an absolute steal.
I love the integrated AI chip that controls the CPU/GPU based on what you’re doing. I Just use that setting all the time and it just knows when I need an extra boost. Playing Balder’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk maxed out and buttery smooth.
It has other cool features like pairing a blue tooth speaker to use as a surround sound satellite, the camera can track your head movements and move your in-game camera based on that input, and of course, the LEDs are programmable and can do countless different customizable routines. The ripple is my favorite. Trippy.
All-in-all, if you’re in the market for a laptop in the $2-3k range, don’t waste your money on a flashy Alienware, or other competitors that are over $500 more. This is the one. No contest. This beast will carry me comfortably through the next decade of AAA games.

I’m really glad I went with this laptop instead. I’ve been using it for a week so far and it’s been great! This laptop checks all the boxes for me. Battery life isn’t great, but gaming laptops are plugged in most of the time anyway. I’d highly recommend this laptop for anybody that’s on the fence.

It was finally time to upgrade my work laptop, and I’m grateful to be able to now have this beast! My last purchase was four (4) years ago, a Legion 5 which was a powerhouse in its time. This Legion Pro 7i blows that one away.
For work, I’m over the Medical aspect of our company, but I’m also the resident photographer, and videographer when needed. I also create training videos (from simple to more complex editing), so this will be used for rendering those along with my regular work, and now Tier 1 games it would appear!

40 year old lifelong gamer here. I feel like playing on this laptop is the peak gaming I’ve been chasing my whole life. Gaming excitement is a rarity these days, but this laptop really rekindles that first love again. Tried Jedi Survivor, Dead Space Remake, Cyberpunk, Doom Dark Ages, COD Black Ops 6 on ultra settings, and they all run on ultra settings well over 70 fps without frame gen. You will not be

This is the second Lenovo laptop I’ve owned, purchased as a direct replacement for a gen7 Pro 5i. I loved the previous laptop, which I why I stuck with the Lenovo brand, and I’m loving the new laptop as well. No regrets about the purchase.
That being said, there are two issues I think someone should consider before buying.
The first is the screen. It’s OLED, and it’s gorgeous, and when they say glossy in the description, they aren’t kidding. There’s some reflection in a mostly dark room with no sunlight coming in. It doesn’t bother me, but I can’t imagine trying to use this in a brightly lit room or outside in the daylight. If that’s your use case, I would check an in-store display model first.
The second issue is that reports of this laptop running hot are absolutely not exaggerated. The first game I ran immediately spiked the CPU temperature to 105C. I figured that had to be a mistake, that I had gotten a faulty paste application from the factory. That doesn’t appear to be the case though. There was no significant difference in the individual core temperatures under load.
Long story short, after poking around in Intel XTU, I discovered that Lenovo sends these out with the Throttle Cutoff set to 105C and the Turbo Boost Short Power Max set to 190W (!). This in a processor that Intel nominally lists as 55 TDP. I dunno, maybe it can handle it, but it made me nervous. I set the cutoff to 90C and long/short boost to 70W, and I haven’t had an issue since, with no appreciable degradation in performance.
So… the screen doesn’t bother you, and you don’t mind tinkering a bit with the power settings, I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

Extremely powerful machine. The 5070Ti version is probably the best value for money at the moment. For Advanced users: Use LegionSpace to OC GPU/CPU to increase power even further. Don’t forget to debloat windows 11 to reduce background battery usage.
