The unit supports digital inputs via USB-C and 3.5mm coaxial/optical connectors, while analog sources can be connected to the 4.4mm balanced or the 3.5mm unbalanced outputs. Connect balanced headphones to the 4.4mm output or unbalanced headphones to the 3.5mm jack, which uses S-balanced circuitry to reduce crosstalk and distortion.
The iFi Studio digital platform keeps each processing section separate to ensure a pristine signal flow. The Qualcomm Bluetooth chip supports high-definition Bluetooth audio formats, while 5.1 compliance ensures the best possible range, stability, and performance—allowing you to ditch the cable to your mobile device and still get great-sounding results. Global Master Clock (GMC) technology eliminates jitter, while the Burr-Brown True Native chipset provides outstanding digital-to-analog conversion. - Digital sources can be fine-tuned using the switchable filters. Choose between Bit Perfect, Standard, and Gibbs Transient Optimized for a personalized playback experience.
- The CyberSync software-driven analog volume control senses and synchronizes with the digital source, such as a DAW. Whatever OS is connected, CyberSync instructs the source to bypass its inferior software volume control. The volume is controlled by the Gryphon’s superior analog volume control chip regardless of whether the Gryphon rotary volume or source’s controls are used.
