The iBasso DC04PRO is a compact, portable Hi-Res USB digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier designed to enhance audio quality for smartphones, tablets, and computers. It features dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips, supporting high-resolution audio playback up to 32-bit / 384 kHz PCM and DSD256 natively. The DC04PRO offers uncolored, natural, and organic sound signature, with excellent dynamics and a wide soundstage.
Equipped with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, the DC04PRO offers versatility for various headphone connections. Its amplification circuit utilizes dual RT6863 chips, delivering up to 280mW at 32 ohms, ensuring the capability to drive a wide range of headphones.
Dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 and Ultralow-Noise LDO for Pure Power
At the core of the DC04PRO are dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, featuring Master HIFI technology for exceptional sound quality. The ultralow-noise LDO power supply, with a 100 dB Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR), ensures clean power delivery to the DAC chips. This results in an incredibly pure sound, further enhanced by the DC04PRO’s noise floor at the nanovolt level.
Lower Power Consumption, Less Strain on the Playback Device
The DC04PRO is designed for efficiency, consuming less power by offering a power-saving mode. In normal mode, the balanced output operates at 650mW, while the single-ended output disables half of the amplifier, reducing power consumption to 550mW.
Activating power-saving mode bypasses the amplifier section, allowing the DAC’s internal amp to drive the output with minimal power consumption—just 410mW. Compared to standard DACs, the DC04PRO generates less heat and extends listening sessions without excessive drain on the playback device.
Rugged Construction
Constructed with CNC-machined aluminum housing and tempered glass panels, the DC04PRO boasts a premium and durable design. It includes hardware volume controls and an LED status indicator that displays different colors for standby, PCM, and DSD modes.
iBasso UAC App
For Android users, iBasso provides the UAC application, allowing customization of settings such as low-pass filters, and gain levels. Notably, the DC04PRO offers an innovative power-saving mode that reduces power consumption by bypassing the amplifier section, extending battery life without significantly compromising sound quality.
