The Denon AVR-X1800H 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver with Dymension DM40 Floorstanding Speaker Kit, includes the AVR-X1800H receiver and a pair of Definitive Technology’s Dymension DM40 speakers. This combination makes for an ideal beginning to a home theater setup, with the DM40 speakers acting as the front left and right, but out of the box, they deliver room-filling sound for your music, TV, and gaming needs. The DM40 are slim floorstanding speakers with a bi-polar speaker array that has the same drivers firing both forwards and back, immersing you in sound. As the centerpiece of your system, the AVR-X1800H can accept many devices through its six HDMI inputs, and supports further surround expansion with 7.2 and 5.1.2-channel compatibility.

Enjoy theater-like movie sound with support for 7.2-channel speaker systems, or 5.1.2 setups for height-based audio effects using Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sources. Plug in a wide array of sources into six HDMI inputs with support for vivid and contrast-rich 8K60 or 4K120 resolutions with HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. HEOS Built-in can handle music streaming to compatible speakers throughout your home. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support lets you stream from online services or mobile devices. Setting all of this up is made easy with Denon’s step-by-step assistant and room-calibrating Audyssey technology.

HEOS Built-In Home Streaming
Stream music directly from the AVR-X1800H to every room in your home that contains a HEOS-compatible speaker. Play the same song in every room or a different song in each. Managing the experience is easy with the HEOS mobile app.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
Streaming audio via Bluetooth from your smartphone or tablet, or use the dual antennas and Wi-Fi support to access audio on your home network or via streaming services, such as Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music HD, or via Apple devices using AirPlay 2.
Hi-Res Audio
Whether you stream music wirelessly or play from a connected USB drive, the AVR-X1800H supports Hi-Res Audio-quality files for the best possible listening experience. It supports Hi-Res Audio at 192 kHz/24-bit ALAC, FLAC, and WAV files as well as 2.8/5.6 MHz DSD files.
HDMI with ARC/eARC
A total of six HDMI inputs and one output are provided to connect your TV, set top box, streaming media device, Blu-ray player, gaming console, and more. Three of them can handle 8K60 resolution, with the output supporting ARC/eARC technology, letting you pass TV audio through the receiver with a single HDMI cable.
Speaker and Bluetooth Playback
You can play audio through connected speakers and wirelessly through optional Bluetooth headphones at the same time. This is an ideal solution for anyone with friends and family that are hearing impaired, letting them enjoy audio through headphones as everyone else listens to the speaker system.
Guided Setup and Custom Calibration
Use the Denon Setup Assistant for guided step-by-step setup of the receiver. An Audyssey measuring microphone is included to measure the acoustics in your room, and use Audyssey’s MultEQ room correction technology to custom-calibrate settings to match you space. Further adjustments are possible using the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app on your iOS or Android phone or tablet.
Multi-Zone Audio
Even without HEOS, you can setup a two-source/two-zone audio experience. With a pair of optional speakers in a second room, you can still use the AVR-X1800H to produce a 5.1-channel surround experience in the main room, while listening to another audio source in a second room.

Definitive Technology Dymension DM40 2-Way Floorstanding Speaker

Build your dream home theater surround sound system by adding the Dymension DM40 2-Way Floorstanding Speaker from Definitive Technology to your room. This single speaker features a slim, acoustically optimized ported enclosure that can easily fit in most rooms. The internal chambers work with the adjustable bi-polar array to output better bass response and midrange clarity. Unlike many floorstanding speakers, the bi-polar array projects more sound in more directions, enveloping the listener. It does this through a pair of 4.5″ composite polymer cone woofers and one 1″ aluminum oxide dome tweeter facing the front, and the same driver array facing the rear. The results is a large depth-of-field and truly balanced sound throughout the room.
