So, I owned the BenQ LK 970 for over 3 years now and have been looking to upgrade. I had my eyes set on this one but was a little skeptical due to it only used the .47 4 K Pixel Shifting chip. I felt like it was a step back from the bigger .65 chip that the Lk 970 used. Also, it only had 2600 Lumens vs the 5,000 the LK had as well. Well after using this projector for over a week and already watched 15 4K movies on it I am beyond blown away. This is the sharpest and most color accurate projector I have ever owned. The brightness contrast and clarity are terrific. And comparing the 4K pixel shifting to my JVC NX7 which is a actually real native 4K projector. I can even tell the difference in quality. This is a terrific projector. I’m sure I will enjoy this for years to come.

Having been a prior user of the BenQ HT4550i projector, I was very familiar with Benqs reputation with projectors. For $3000 I got a pixel shifting model with a bright 3200 lumens and a sterling onscreen image.
W hen BenQ announced the W5800 projector, I was immediatly interested. For $5000, I would get a laser projector with a bright, sharp image.
Another important feature that other manufactures have been deleting is 3D functionality–But not BenQ. They include this feature on the W5800 and my previous BenQ model.
After setting up the projector, I marveled at the sharpness and contrast that the W5800 offered. Although the lumen level was 600 lumens less than my previous model, the laser technology offset this and produced a noticeably bright image.
