The Audio-Technica AT-PEQ30 adds a phono preamp stage to a stereo system, allowing you to incorporate a turntable into your home audio setup, even if your amplifier doesn’t have a dedicated phono preamp. Alternatively, with its low noise floor and minimal distortion, the unit can be used as a high-quality substitute for a turntable’s poorly performing built-in phono preamp. The all-metal chassis is built to eliminate radio and electronic interference and features a convenient ground connection for your turntable.

The stereo, gold-plated RCA connections on the back allows the AT-PEQ30 to be easily inserted between the output of the turntable and the input of your amplifier, while the small footprint takes up very little space in your home hi-fi rig. The unit’s carefully crafted FET inputs ensure a low-noise signal when incorporated with a negative-feedback type of phono equalizer circuit. A switch on the front panel selects between precisely calibrated impedance and gain settings for MM (moving magnet) or MC (moving coil) cartridges; allowing the unit to deliver amplification with accurate, RIAA-certified EQ curves for a wide variety of turntable cartidge designs. An AC adapter is included.
