Battle the competition, explore fantastical worlds, and create quality content with the deceptively small ROG NUC 970 Mini Desktop Computer from ASUS. Designed to fit a variety of spaces while delivering gaming-grade performance, the ROG NUC 970 is equipped with a 1TB processor, which features a dedicated neural processor for AI workloads. It also delivers high frame rates and rich visuals with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics.
With 32GB of 5600 MHz DDR5 memory and a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD, you can quickly load and multitask demanding applications. Built-in Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) support and a 2.5G Ethernet port provide high-speed internet access for smooth 8K video and online gaming experiences. Use the 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 4 port and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports to transfer large videos, photos, and other files in a flash. Two USB-A 2.0 ports are available for peripherals such as keyboards and mice, and there is a convenient SD card reader. An included stand helps to maximize your space by allowing you to place the ROG NUC 970 vertically. Despite its size, the vapor chamber and heat pipe cooling system maintains optimal performance with minimal noise. Windows 11 Home 64-bit is preinstalled. A US power cable is included.
Please be aware that a mouse and keyboard are not included.

I’m so pleased with this! The power supply is almost as big as the CPU. Runs games beautifully, no set-up issues. Small enough I can travel with it, with a nifty portable monitor and a small but big-enough keyboard.

2 weeks in and the system seems to be performing well. The onboard 4070 mobile is indeed the better route than the previous NUC with 4070 eGPU through thunderbolt. It is just unfortunate the bottleneck you get with thunderbolt connections. I may throw more ram in this NUC at some point but right now it doesn’t seem to need it. 100 FPS in SCUM I previously was unable to get with the last NUC I had. That is a 100FPS on high graphics settings on a 3840×2160 TV I have mounted on the wall. I can run DAYZ on max graphics settings and get over a 100FPS as well. This system is supposed to have TB4 support, so I have yet to test out my eGPU with this new system. There is no bloatware included which is a huge plus the windows files seem to be in order there was no issues with exclamations in my device manager list. The NUC is bigger than my skull NUC however still fits into my cabinet below the TV’s and takes up very little space this is the main reason I love NUCS its powerful enough to get the job done in the smallest possible form factor. It’s really no bigger than my router which is a huge selling point aside from graphics processing. I am not a fan of win 11 it took a lot of work tweaking it out but that can’t be marks against the system itself as it is performing as expected. Is it the best gaming computer? No but for its size absolutely!
