The Nitro Max 8-Piece Mesh Electronic Drum Kit from Alesis is includes a Nitro Max electronic drum module, a 10″ dual-zone mesh snare drum, three 8″ mesh toms, three 10″ cymbals, a custom-designed Alesis hi-hat and kick pedal, and a durable 4-post aluminum rack. The kit can be used in several environments by drummers for studio, home, rehearsal, and live applications.
Mesh heads are the preference for electronic drummers because of their natural feel and ultraquiet response. The Nitro Max mesh electronic drum kit module delivers a realistic playing experience using the built-in 48 drums kits, 60 built-in play-along tracks, and hundreds of drum and percussion sounds. Use the built-in Bluetooth wireless input or the 3.5mm aux input to connect to a smartphone or music player for instant practice and accompaniment. In addition, all the necessary cabling and a power supply are included.

A lifelong drummer (percussion major) who wanted a good sounding kit to play at my home without blasting my wife or neighbors. For less than $400 base price (I bought the extension pack as well (+$99) this Alesis set delivers! I wanted an easy to set up, easy to understand features and options, compact kit for my upstairs studio. Extremely pleased with the sound quality and included kits and features. Even the provided kick pedal is excellent (I swapped out for a double Iron Cobra I already had). Still in wonderment, this quality at this price. Very satisfied – well boxed set, fantastic traceable delivery. Thanks! UNMATCHED VALUE!

Its a pretty solid kit for 3-400. I don’t care what the price is, its not a 5 star rating. The legs are super flimsy unless you have them set up perfectly (which isn’t easy. Zero instructions so watch YT videos). The kick pedal moves like crazy even on carpet. The spikes do almost nothing to stop it from moving. The hi hat pedal is extremely noisy as well. I don’t know if it can be lubricated, but I have the volume on the unit all the way up and the pedal squeak is noticeably louder. All in all for the price its an ok kit for someone just starting. If at all possible you should save money for something better if you know you are going to be playing long term.
