The Spectra Pro Series 2 is designed for high-definition recording, making it ideal for common applications such as commercial, corrections, education, gaming, and healthcare applications requiring broad coverage areas with fewer cameras. The Spectra Pro Series assures coverage of large areas without the need for PTZ management by live operator. Boasting low latency and smooth PTZ, the camera is easy to control with a joystick for smooth tracking of objects. It provides a wide angle view with 360° of continuous pan rotation to cover expansive areas, along with 2MP resolution and 30x optical zoom for detailed imaging.

Built-in video analytics facilitate loitering detection, object counting, motion detection, camera sabotage, and audio detection. The Spectra Pro Series 2 also allows for up to eight configurable privacy zones. White balance modes including auto or manual modes are available for overcoming difficult lighting conditions, day or night. Use the ONVIF Profile G protocol or FTP to access up to 2TB of onboard local storage, available separately.

Spectra Pro Series 2 provides three methods of video encoding: H.265 Main profile, H.264 High, Main, and Baseline profiles, and MJPEG. H.256 compression lowers bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 70% while retaining resolution and image quality and critical information for forensic purposes.

Designed for easy installation and maintenance, the Spectra Pro 2 utilizes flexible power options to fit into existing or new infrastructure.

The Spectra Pro Series 2 easily connects to Pelco VideoXpert and provides limited support of legacy systems such as Endura 2.0 or later and Digital Sentry 7.3 or later. The Spectra Pro Series 2 is also designed for easy integrating with wide range of third-party software and Video Management Systems (VMS).

Pelco’s Spectra Pro Series 2 cameras implement several cybersecurity measures to protect device access as well as data transport including credential setup for device access, authentication, HTTPS using TLS1.2, AES encryption with 256-bit keys, denial of access to shell, 802.1X support, camera firewall with whitelist and blacklist address support, digital certificate support, TLS 1.2 2048 RSA key pairs, and X.509 v3 digital certificates with SHA256 signature hash support.

Pelco’s Smart Compression Technology dynamically analyzes motion occurring within live video in real time, enabling you to intelligently compress the information you don’t need while retaining details with clear quality in the areas that are important in the scene. By enabling Dynamic GOP, an added feature of Smart Compression, the number of I-frames are automatically reduced in scenes with low motion. Based on the complexity of scenes and motion occurring, such as a store room that has limited entry and exit, up to 70% bandwidth savings can be achieved.
