My old Yamaha Receiver was struggling to support 4K TV. For example, high res Netflix sound stopped working and lacked 4K upscaling support. I had this new receiver up and running with 5.1 sound support in less than 30 minutes. I then reprogrammed my Harmony Hub Remote to control the receiver + AppleTV + Samsung 4K TV. Picture and sound are both excellent and I love the addition of Bluetooth IN and OUT support. Love SCENE control programming. Picture quality out of my 4K Apple TV is better than ever. Even better than direct-connect to TV. My YouTube TV and YouTube looks and sounds great. Highly recommended.

Was looking for a AV receiver that had Bluetooth capability and works with Alexa, and this one fit the bill for a reasonable price. Access to the HDMI input is near the top of the receiver for easy access and the auto sound adjustment capability is nice for speedy speaker adjustment. Lots of positive features on a lower priced AV receiver.

Wow! What a difference the sound from my TV is now with this receiver. My 20+ year-old Sony never put out this quality.

Easy setup works perfectly in my system. Such better than my 10-year Denon

Replaced a 2004 Denon with current technology, especially the ability to route all HDMI cables into the receiver and use the ARC channel to communicate with the HDTV. The pass-through feature of the amp allows it to be powered off (read standby) and use the TV with its own speakers without the receiver on all the time. Audio settings for music and video are well done and applicable to the sources. Well recommended for a basic amp.

Very easy setup sounds great. I’m using this for a home theater system, the HDMI pass through is just what I needed.

I needed an inexpensive receiver that I could install on the top shelf of a kitchen pantry, that would pair easily with my Bluetooth devices and would deliver good-enough sound to ceiling and deck speakers. Well, the sound is very good, and it has many options at a good price.

The Yamaha product has delivered to my expectations and more. This is my 2nd unit, the first one is about 5 years old. It is still working. This is why I bought the model again. The newer model has some improvements than the older one.
Setup was easy, I like the YAO mode.
When I ran the YAO, the sound was displaced nicely over my 5.1 system. Very pleased and the price was definitely a positive too!

I plugged in my TV, cable box, DVD player, ROKU and power cable then powered it up and everything just worked. I checked the firmware, and it was up to date. I changed the view screen to show Cable Box, DVD and ROKU and that was about it. The ease of operation is great, and the sound quality has improved from my previous receiver. The only downside is that I have a phono player that required an addition purchase of a pre-amp, as there is no phono input on this Yamaha A/V receiver…. but that was a minor issue. If you don’t want to spend a fortune on a A/V receiver I would definitely recommend this Yamaha unit.
